Our experience in facilitating strategic planning sessions has enabled us to develop and refine a number of simple tools specifically designed to ensure a successful strategic process and outcome.

Overview of our strategic process:
Review and Test Existing Mission, Vision, and Values We begin each strategic review by testing the organization’s existing mission, vision and values. Sometimes these are still valid, other times they are completely inaccurate. However, most of the time we find that they fall somewhere between those two extremes and require varying levels of revision to reflect changes that have occurred either inside or outside the organization. This process sets the foundation strategy is built upon.
Strategic Pillars & Goals Strategic Pillars These form the primary strategic areas of focus for the organization. Similar to the mission, vision, and values that are re-evaluated, the Strategic Pillars can sometimes change over time. Time and effort are spent clarifying and challenging each strategic pillar. From this discussion pillars are revised or deleted as required. Strategic goals (3 year timeframe) are then established under each pillar.
Annual Objectives Annual Objectives Objectives are then established within each Strategic Pillar. We will facilitate the development and documentation of strategic goals, which are determined to be most important and impactful for the year ahead.
Departmental Objectives Following the creation of proper measurement and tracking metrics the plan will be turned over to your organization to develop and build the appropriate tactics to operationalize the strategy over the short, medium, and long term.
Measurement & Targets Within each Strategic goal, we will facilitate the development and documentation of measures, and targets for completion. A company report card can be developed to ensure the board has comfort that the plan is being executed and on target.
